Our week definitely improved from last week that's for sure...  We had a lot more meetings, but mainly with members and our patience did pay off a little.  Sooo... where to start.

This is a cool statue that is in the main square of Gyumri
So the first Sunday of the month we didn't fast because it was already late by the time we started and we were both feeling sick.  So we kept putting it off and off and forgetting and we finally realized that we still hadn't done it last week and we thought that maybe part of our struggle this month was because we hadn't fasted yet.  So we started our fast on Thursday, and we fasted that we could find a family, and nothing really happened.  We had some good meetings for the rest of the week and we thought that we were still missing something.

But then Sunday came along... I love Sundays.  We were sitting in third hour when the first counselor in the Bishopric came in and pulled us out and told us that he had an investigator for us.  This man had walked past the church a few days before and saw that our church said Jesus Christ on it and decided a couple days later to walk in.  So we gave him a copy of the Book of Mormon and we're meeting with him agian tomorrow! And guess what?  He is married and has a couple of kids and he wants us to meet with them too!! We found our family!!

The blessings didn't stop there either.  Right after he left the ward got out so everyone started leaving when our Bishop came in and told us that there was a man outside asking about our church.  This man had met with the missionaries maybe once a year ago and they gave him a Book of Mormon, but nothing came of it and I had actually talked to him in front of the church maybe two weeks before and invited him to come to church.  We invite everyone we see to come to church and nothing ever pans out, yet he came at the very end because he forgot what time it was at and he had to clean something that day.  We met with him and had a similar meeting with him as with the first and he accepted a baptismal date for February 27th!

When we do what we're supposed to God definitely blesses us and he always go the extra mile for us.  All we asked for was a family, and right after that he blessed us with another investigator and he continues to bless us every day.  It's really cool to see his hand in the missionary work.  I love you lots fam!

  2. Great testimony about the blessings of fasting. Fast Sunday is next week and the Stake President in Hawaii asked us to meditate this week on what we need to fast about to make personal improvements or life and in our spiritual commitments.--Nan O.
